Pro-Russian rebels have shot down two warplanes during Wednesday's Ukrainian, not too far from where the plane crashed Malaysian last week, in the East of Ukraine, causing 298 casualties.
A spokesman for the Ukrainian military operations said planes were crashed near Savur Mogila, a cluster of graves in the region of Shaktersky-where a memorial commemorates the Soviet army ambushes against Nazi occupiers during World War II.
He said he had no information yet on the pilots.

Tough fights are taking place at two main centers in Doneck and rebels in Luhansk, where they were repelled every day by government forces, who have taken control of villages and suburbs of cities.
Earlier Tuesday, Kiev said the separatists were withdrawing from their positions on the outskirts of Donjeckut, and are more and more closed in the city center.
Residents say the rebels, who began their uprising in April seeking independence from Kiev to Russian-speaking regions in the east of the country, have dug trenches underground in the city center, outside the university, and are living in the dormitories.
"In Donjeck, rebels are massively withdrawn from their positions and headed for the city center," said the leader of what Kiev considers "anti-terrorist operation" in his statement.
"We can not exclude that the emergence of such movements may suggest panic and attempts to flee from the battlefield".
