Boko Haram militants attacked Gwoza city in northeast Nigeria, killing dozens of people.
Extremists has forced residents to leave their homes and set fire to the police station and other public buildings. Local residents have expressed to AFP that the army had left town long ago.
Gwoza attack came just weeks after rebels took control Damboan, another town that was attacked several times by terrorists.
Boko Haram wants to create an Islamic state in northern Nigeria. More than 10 thousand people have been killed since the start of the uprising in 2009.
