Strong earthquake between Afghanistan and Pakistan, 62 dead

A powerful earthquake in the Afghanistan-Pakistan region of the Hindu Kush has caused at least 62 deaths, and the fear is that the death toll could rise.

According to local authorities, 42 of the dead living in Pakistan and 20 in Afghanistan. Thought to be at least 200 injured by the earthquake measuring 7.5 on the Richter scale.

Eyewitnesses speak of a strong earthquake experience of 10 years ago. On 8 October 2005 an earthquake of magnitude 7.5 struck rajoninKashmirit, causing 87 thousand dead and 2.8 million homeless.
