Two police officers and seven militants have died as a result of shkëmbimzjarrit between them, as Turkish police raided about a dozen homes in the southeast, in the early hours of Monday morning.
The news comes from security sources and the Turkish government spokesman, Numan Kurtulmus.
The crash occurred in the suburbs of Kayapinarit in Diyarbakir city dominated by Kurds. This incident marks the first event of conflict between Turkish security forces and militants suspected Islamic State within a country, as happened earlier encounters increasingly beyond Turkey-Syria border.
