US / Donald Trump: Our country is starting to reopen for business

President Donald Trump on Wednesday welcomed steps taken by a handful of U.S. states with Republican governors to begin reopening their economies despite warnings that coronavirus infections could see new growth.

Over 10 states in the U.S., mostly those in the south, such as Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee, which have Republican governors, are easing home stay guidelines, allowing some non-essential businesses to reopen, in hopes of reviving the economy. President Trump, who is a Republican and is trying to be re-elected on November 3, expressed his support for the states on Twitter today.

"Countries are returning safely. Our country is starting to OPEN BIRTHDAY FOR BUSINESS. Special care is being taken, and it will always be shown to our dear seniors (except me!) ", Wrote on Twitter President Trump, who is 73 years old.

Deaths from COVID-19 in the United States exceeded 45,200 across the country, while the number of those affected has risen to more than 811,000. He said he would announce a plan next week to reopen the state's economy widely during the first week of May.

"It simply came to our notice then. We want to open as many businesses as possible, ”Abbott told Fox Business television. "However, we want to make sure we do this very safely, which does not cause an enlargement of COVID-19," he said. Local states and governments have issued "home stay" orders affecting about 94% of Americans.

Restrictions have hurt the US economy, leaving millions of Americans jobless. Political leaders are engaged in a bitter debate over how and when the economy could reopen. The state of Georgia is giving the green light to gyms, hair salons, bowling games and tattoo parlors or massage parlors to reopen on Friday, which will be followed next week by cinemas and restaurants. The measures were ordered by Republican Governor Brian Kemp.

This state has a relatively low number of cases of coronavirus per capita and the mortality rate is 6 per 100 thousand, below the national average.
