As a country with no deaths and the number of people infected with COVID-19 is 262, Vietnam has been praised and complimented by the World Health Organization, according to which it can serve as an example of a state that has managed to fight pandemics.
Although limited to China, Vietnam has begun implementing safeguards early on to prevent the spread of coronavirus such as testing and quarantine.
The number of infected people in Vietnam, according to Johns Hopkins University, is 262, a country of over 95 million people. Official statistics show that in Vietnam, 75,000 people are currently in quarantine or isolation, and the state has so far conducted over 121,000 tests.
No one has died from COVID-19 in Southeast Asia so far, and the percentage of infected people is significantly lower than in developed countries such as South Korea, Singapore and even Taiwan.
