Wrongly declared dead, the woman wakes up at the funeral agency

A woman in Paraguay suffered the biggest shock of her life when she was reportedly awakened in a body bag after being pronounced dead.

Gladys Rodríguez Duarte would almost have a funeral service after her family was informed of her death.

The woman, also married with a child, had gone to the San Fernando Clinic in Coronel Oviedo because she had high blood pressure.

But about two hours after her arrival at the clinic, a doctor confirmed her death to husband Maximino Duarte Ferreira and daughter Sandra Duarte.

According to reports, Ms. Rodríguez Duarte came to the clinic at around 9.30 am and was visited by Dr. Heriberto Vera, who pronounced her dead at 11.20 am. Police said she was also suffering from ovarian cancer.

She was then transported to a funeral agency where it was noticed that the bag was moving and we had no more victims.

Her husband told Paraguayan media: "Dr. Vera believed she was dead and gave her naked, like an animal, with a death certificate. He didn't even try to save her. We trusted him so we went there, but they stopped everything and sent him to the funeral home. "
