Citizens of South Korea have begun to return to work, and shopping malls and some restaurants have reopened, Reuters reports.
The measure for the social distance has started to be removed, due to the fact that this country has successfully managed to fight the spread of coronavrus, Telegrafi reports.
However, South Korea has extended the restrictive measures for another 16 days, although most of them have begun to soften. The number of new infected people has long fallen below 20, and mainly in cases coming from other countries.
Many companies that until recently practiced working from home have begun to return employees to their offices, although some are finding it impossible due to the restriction of movement from one city to another.
Over the past weekend, parks and forests have been full of visitors, and shopping malls and restaurants have slowly begun to open their doors to citizens.
South Korea, unlike most other countries, has slowly begun to return to normalcy. Even those harsh restrictive measures regarding religious rallies have already been eased.
"I am a member of the football club and this Sunday for the first time we played after two months of total isolation," said 31-year-old Kim Tae-Hung, who lives in Seoul.
"While we were playing, we wore masks because we still have to be careful when it comes to coronavirus," he added.
These decisions were made after much consultation and analysis with health experts. They are aimed at reviving South Korea's economy, which is considered the fourth largest in Asia.
On the other hand, the Minister of Defense is also considering mitigating the restrictive measures regarding travel. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention in this country has registered 13 new cases in the last 24 hours, while a day earlier there were only 8.
